The Wachapreague Volunteer Fire Company has provided many years of service to the citizens and visitors of Accomack and Northampton Counties, responding to over 700 emergency calls annually. We provide fire and EMS protection to over 3000 residents in our 23 square mile district. Our volunteers operate and maintain 1 Pumper/Engine, 1 Tanker, 1 Brush truck, a utility vehicle and 2 EMS Ambulances. As our department currently operates out of the oldest fire station in Accomack County, we plan to launch a capital campaign for the construction of a new station in the coming months.
